MicroIsolator Technology (MIT) Training and Annual Refresher - UCAR/DLAM have developed an on-line training course for MicroIsolator Technology (MIT) in the Blackboard Learning System. MicroIsolator Certification includes the successful completion of the MIT course in Blackboard and “hands-on” training.

MIT training and certification are required for all personnel entering animal rooms that use microIsolator technology husbandry strategy.

If you don’t have an existing Blackboard account, navigate to “Create New Blackboard User Account” and create an account. Within 24 hours you will be given access to Blackboard (http://bb.urmc.rochester.edu/). Notify the Research and Training Coordinator or the Instructor (within Blackboard) when you have access to Blackboard and you will be added to the MIT Course. Review the course and complete the assessment.  Following successful completion of the Blackboard course, you wll be contacted by the Animal Resource Office to schedule “hands-on” MIT training.  UCAR will contact you when you have successfully completed this training.

If you have any questions, please contact the UCAR Office at X5-1693 or the Animal Resource office at X5-2651.
