About Massage Therapy
Massage therapy can reduce stress, improve circulation, reduce localized pain, reduce chronic pain like arthritis, help eliminate trigger points, and has even been known to speed soft tissue healing.
The techniques used during a massage vary by what needs help. Usually, however, the disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only the area being worked on exposed. The therapist then uses a combination of kneading, rolling, vibrational, percussive and tapping movements with the application of oil to reduce friction on the skin.
A Great Gift Idea
Due to their relaxing and invigorating nature, massages make great gifts. We are happy to issue gift certificates in increments of 15 minutes.
Gift certificates are valid for six months from the date of issuance. You do not have to be a member of the Fitness & Wellness Center to purchase or redeem massage gift certificates.
