Biomedical Genetics
Welcome to the Department of Biomedical Genetics
The Department of Biomedical Genetics investigates how cell regulation and signaling pathways control complex biological processes, including stem cell maintenance and differentiation, cancer, aging, and organism development. There is a focus on genetically tractable human disease models. Multidisciplinary research using state-of-the-art approaches in cell biology, genetics, genomics, systems and computational biology is conducted in the department.

Research
Our diverse faculty's cutting edge research spans several areas of biomedical genetics.

Education
The department invites you to explore our Genetics, Development and Stem Cells PhD Program, which offers a number of lecture courses in the areas of cell biology, genetics, genomics, systems biology and biomedicine.

People
The Department of Biomedical Genetics fosters collaborative research between laboratories and investigators.
