Scholarship for M.S. Degree in Biostatistics

The Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is proud to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships for full-time study to qualified incoming applicants to our M.S. program in Biostatistics. These scholarships will support 35% of the program’s tuition costs. The overarching goal of the M.S. program is to offer advanced training in Biostatistics that will better prepare students for fulfilling careers in academia, government, and industry.

The department is strongly committed to promoting and supporting diversity in its training of the next generation of health sciences research professionals, and has particular interest in attracting high performing domestic students with undergraduate degrees in statistics, mathematics, computer science, and data science. Qualified applicants must be (i) pursuing, or have obtained, a bachelor's degree in the indicated field(s) with a major GPA exceeding the equivalent of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; (ii) determined as having substantively met all relevant admission requirements; and, (iii) United States citizens or permanent residents. In addition to major GPA, the assessment of merit will additionally consider overall academic excellence, curricular rigor, and evidence of prior research experience. Scholarship for M.A. Degree in Statistics

The Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is proud to be able to offer a limited number of scholarships for full-time study to qualified incoming applicants to our M.A. program in Statistics. These scholarships will support 35% of the program’s tuition costs. The overarching goal of the M.A. program is to offer advanced training in Statistics that will better prepare students for fulfilling careers in academia (including PhD-level study), government, and industry.
