- Board certified trauma surgeons/surgical intensivists available around the clock
- Our surgeons involved in local, national, and international trauma organizations with multiple ongoing efforts in trauma research, education, outreach, and advocacy
- Sub-specialty support services (neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery) available around the clock
- Access to whole blood (supplied by the American Red Cross) for resuscitation of bleeding trauma patients
- Experience with and availability of emerging technologies such as Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA) and rib plating for rib fractures
- Complete support of the trauma patient from initial arrival through the rehabilitation process and beyond
- Robust quality and performance improvement programs including the availability of trauma video review
- Outstanding critical care resources, including a dedicated 16-bed Kessler Family Burn/Trauma Intensive Care Unit
- Immediate availability of fully staffed and capable trauma operating rooms
- Modern, well-equipped trauma resuscitation bays with immediate access to ultrasound and x-ray imaging
- State-of-the-art CT scanner immediately adjacent to the trauma resuscitation bays
- Comprehensive transfer center available around the clock to coordinate all emergency and inter-facility transfer requests
