New Patients & Second Opinions
While many new patients are referred by their doctors, a referral is not necessary to see one of our cancer specialists.
Wilmot’s new patient intake coordinators are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at (585) 275-5830 to help you schedule an appointment and gather the information that will be needed at your first visit. After hours, please leave a message and a representative will respond to you by the next business day.
If you have questions about insurance coverage, please check with your insurance provider. Wilmot’s financial case managers can also help, and you can request to speak with one of them when you make your first appointment.
Current Patients
If you need to make or change an appointment, or if you have questions about a symptom or your treatment, call our current patient telephone line at (585) 275-5823. One of our triage outpatient access specialists can assist you in changing your appointment or can have a nurse call you back to discuss questions about symptoms, treatment, etc. This phone line is staffed Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but if you have an urgent need outside those hours or on the weekend, please call this number and leave a message asking to speak to the provider on call.
For Urgent Issues
If you’re experiencing severe symptoms such as crushing chest pain or extreme shortness of breath, call 911 right away. For urgent issues that are less severe, please call our current patient line at (585) 275-5823 and a nurse can return your call and help you determine your best course of action. We are often able to make arrangements for urgent issues so that patients can avoid an emergency room visit.
Referring Providers
Thank you for entrusting the care of your patients to us. Receptionists are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (585) 275-5830 to arrange appointments or to answer questions about referring patients.
