Equity-Focused Dissemination and Implementation Consultation
The rapidly growing field of dissemination and implementation (D&I) science examines the process by which scientific evidence is implemented in clinical settings and communities. Our Equity-Focused Dissemination and Implementation (EQ-DI) team works with researchers to help assess barriers to implement interventions and to design and evaluate strategies to facilitate implementation and sustainment, with a focus on health equity.
Features
EQ-DI consultations focus on incorporating dissemination and implementation science models and techniques into research and programmatic grant proposals, clinical and community implementation projects (e.g. as a part of quality improvement activities), and research career development proposals.
Get Started
To get started, request an EQ-DI Consultation from the UR CTSI Research Help Desk.
Resources
D&I Resource Catalogs
Access a curated list of resource catalogs related to dissemination & implementation science, including frameworks, theories, and models; methods and measures; funding resources; practice resources; training resources; and health equity resources. This database of resource catalogs, which was developed by the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, is open-access and actively maintained and regularly updated.
Webinars
The UR CTSI’s EQ-DI function regularly hosts seminars to help researchers gain knowledge and skill in the design and evaluation of evidence-based interventions with a focus on addressing health equity.
Funding
The UR CTSI offers several grants and awards to stimulate and support early-phase research that incorporates elements of EQ-DI. Learn more about our Mini-Grant for Nurses, Pipeline to Pilot Award, and Pilot Award.
UCLA Rapid, Rigorous, Relevant (3R) Implementation Science Hub Video Playlist
Developed by the national CTSA D&I Working Group, this video list is designed for researchers and trainees who want to learn about existing resources such as workshops, online material, databases, methods and tools, and more. The compendium is regularly updated to keep up with the advancements of the science. The resource is useful for health researchers and trainees, as well as practitioners and quality improvement staff looking for training and techniques to better disseminate and implement health innovations in clinical and community settings.
