Get Funding for Collaborations with Research Centers in Minority Institutions

Faculty, staff, and students at the University of Rochester can apply now for funding to support research collaboration activities with their counterparts from any institution in the Research Centers in Minority Institutions (RCMI) program. RCMI, supported by NIH's National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, develops and strengthens the research infrastructure necessary to conduct state-of-the-art biomedical research and foster the next generation of researchers from underrepresented populations.

Each academic year, the UR CTSI's UR-RCMI Scholarly Exchange Program awards up to ten projects a maximum of $3,000 each to support training opportunities, networking, project development, research placement, and data gathering for pilot research. Ultimately, the program aims to help colleagues from different cultures, disciplines, and academic appointments build partnerships and produce abstracts, publications, or grant applications together.

In the spring of 2018, the UR CTSI hosted scholarly exchanges involving faculty, staff, postdocs and students from the University of Rochester, Morehouse School of Medicine, University of Hawaii, University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, and Ponce Health Sciences University.

Apply by January 25, 2019:
