Join UR CTSI for Translational Research Day 2023

On Monday, November 13, the UR CTSI will host Translational Research Day, an event celebrating the innovative research supported by the institute. Researchers from across URMC will present their findings from laboratory, clinical, and community contexts, while attendees will have the opportunity to learn how UR CTSI programs and services can improve and accelerate their research. Registration is now open.

“Translational Research Day is our signature event, bringing together the many researchers that the UR CTSI supports through funding, training, and collaborative opportunities,” said Karen Wilson, MD, MPH, co-director of UR CTSI. “Not only is this an opportunity to hear about exciting developments in the field, but researchers can connect with us to learn more about how we can support their clinical and translational research.”

Anthony R. Pisani, PhD, the first recipient of the Robert G. Holloway CTSI KL2 Alumni Lectureship in Clinical & Translational Science, will be the keynote speaker. Presentations by a PhD trainee, K12 postdoc, and CTSI pilot awardee will follow.

The afternoon will feature workshops and presentations on equity-focused dissemination and implementation, a Rochester Early Stage Investigator Network mock National Institutes of Health study, and Three-minute Thesis Translations—rapid, three-minute explanations of translational biomedical science trainee thesis projects.

The event runs from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on November 13. Morning check-in will be at the Flaum Atrium. Refreshments are provided. More information is available here.
