UR Offers New Program to Boost Diversity among Early Career Researchers

The new UR Stars program helps connect established researchers at UR with early career scholars from groups that are underrepresented in biomedical research. Faculty who are looking for postdocs or early career researchers to work in their labs are invited to participate.

UR CTSI Population Health Postdoc Receives Award for Obesity Research

Congratulations to the UR CTSI’s first Population Health postdoctoral fellow, Ying Meng, Ph.D., R.N., on taking home the top award for a poster competition at the Obesity Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting in early November. Meng’s award-winning poster focused on how genes and diet work together to influence weight gain during pregnancy.

New Opportunity for Postdoctoral Research in Population Health

The UR CTSI is implementing a new Population Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship Program to produce population health researchers who can conceptualize research across the translational spectrum – from molecules to populations. Positions are open to scientists with backgrounds in basic, clinical, translational, or population health research.
