The General Practice Residency (GPR) is a 12-month advanced education program at the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Eastman Institute for Oral Health. The program provides didactic learning and clinical experience in general dentistry in community and hospital dental settings. An optional second-year program is available.
The program starts mid-June and ends on June 30 of the next year. Resident orientation sessions are scheduled during the first two weeks after the program start date. Residents receive a certificate upon successful completion of training.
The Program in General Practice Residency (12 months/optional 2nd year) is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
