Prosthodontics Residency
The Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics at Eastman Institute for Oral Health is a three-year program that provides comprehensive education and training in all phases of Prosthodontics, including fixed, removable and implant prosthodontics.
The program combines didactic, clinical, and research activities and emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to complex prosthodontic patients.
The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. Prosthodontic graduates receive a Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and a Master's Degree.
Program Goals
The primary goal of the program is to graduate Prosthodontists with advanced knowledge in the field of Prosthodontics and Dental Implant science, excellent clinical skills and good exposure in research, able to understand and implement evidence based treatment approaches. The ultimate goal is to develop future Leaders in Prosthodontics either through an academic or clinical career

Unlike other programs, EIOH Prosthodontics program not only focuses on preparing the residents to handle a wide range of intricate cases, but also provides the opportunity to develop laboratory skills, conduct clinical and laboratory research and develop academic teaching skills with several seminars. The interdisciplinary collaboration with Periodontics, Orthodontics and OMFS departments highlights the program’s commitment in promoting interdisciplinary approach to complex restorative cases.
