Established in 2013, this award is presented to the T32 principal investigator or co-principal investigators with the best impact score for a new grant or a competing renewal in the past year.

Outstanding Postdoc Mentor Award
This award, established in 2012, is to recognize a School of Medicine and Dentistry postdoctoral appointee for outstanding mentoring of undergraduate or graduate students and/or other postdocs. For the purpose of this award, mentoring is defined as the process of guiding, supporting and promoting the training and career development of others.

This award, established in 2015, is to recognize a School of Medicine and Dentistry postdoctoral appointee for outstanding research contributions. The selection criteria include originality, creativity, and significance of the research accomplishment.

GSS Student Advocacy Award
Established in 1994 by the Graduate Student Society (GSS), this award is bestowed annually to recognize a faculty member in the School of Medicine and Dentistry who has made significant contributions in promoting excellence in graduate education through participation, facilitation, and promotion of GSS goals and events.

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Resident Teaching Award
The Arnold P. Gold Foundation, a private non-profit organization, is dedicated to the promotion of humanism in the practice of medicine. Selected by the graduating class, these residents have served as positive role models in their humanistic approach to patients.

The Manuel D. Goldman Prize for Excellence in First Year Teaching

This prize was established in 1987 to honor Dr. Segal who was a nationally known gastroenterologist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Rochester. It is awarded each year by the third year class to a faculty member for excellence in third year teaching.
