Research

Research is an important part of our fellowship. We offer a fully supported research program, distributed throughout the 3 years of fellowship. The level of research involvement increases during the second and third year to allow the fellow to collect and analyze thesis data. Adjustments in the schedule, as determined by research needs, can be made based on the nature of the fellow’s research.  We offer a robust mentorship and  research program with regularly scheduled research meetings, access to basic science opportunities and support in statistical and data analysis.

1st Year

• Ideas- discussed at Research meetings and with mentors
• Development of Thesis theme & initial project timeline
• IRB submission; plan for funding as needed
• Accessory Projects

2nd Year

• IRB completion
• Recruitment, Data Collection
• Abstract Submissions

3rd Year

• Completion of Data Analysis
• Manuscript completions & submissions
• Thesis manuscript Completed & Presented
