“My experience in anesthesiology residency at the University of Rochester was nothing short of transformative. I sought a program that would offer both comprehensive clinical exposure and a supportive, collaborative environment, and U of R exceeded all expectations. "As I was deciding on a residency program, there were a few fundamental components I was looking for: great breath of pathology, acuity of the pathology, a “family-like" dynamic amongst the residents, and a collegial atomsphere with the attendings. University of Rochester delivered and more!  As an institution with numerous centers of excellence (transplant, cardiac, stroke and neurovascular, level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center, high risk OB, high risk vascular, etc.) and an enormous encatchment area as a quaternary medical center, residents have a unique opportunity for training.  With only a handful of anesthesiology fellows every year and a surplus of complex cases, residents take care of classically “fellow-level” patients and are given graduated responsibility to work toward eventual independent practice of management of these patients.  I know that l would not have received the same training any other residency program in the nation and am immensely grateful and honored to have trained here." - Daniel Bral, Class of 2022, Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Faculty at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL
