How to Apply

ResidentsThank you for your interest in the Child Neurology Residency Program at the University of Rochester.

Please note that we only accept applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS)

For medical students applying in the 2024-2025 Match, we are accepting applications for 3 categorical positions. The categorical positions will include two years of graduate training in Pediatrics and three years of graduate training in Child Neurology at the University of Rochester. There is one application process for those positions, and no need to apply separately to the two programs.

Please also note that, in accordance with our residency selection policy, we are unable to consider any applications from foreign medical graduates who are not ECFMG certified at the time of application to the residency program. We also only sponsor J-1 Visas.

Jess and CindyInterview Information

Interviews for invited applicants take place from October through December.

On Sunday evening, we will have a live session with our residents for informal conversations about each other, the program, and the city. The interview program will begin on Monday morning and will include a combination of electronic materials and live sessions. The program includes an orientation to the Child Neurology program, a lunch talk about Rochester with the Neurology residents, Child Neurology Patient of the Week conference, and individual interviews with members of the faculty. Applicants could indicate any specific clinical or investigative interests if they would like to try and arrange specific interviews. On Tuesday, applicants will go through the virtual interview half-day for the Pediatrics residency and will have individual interviews. There is also a virtual dinner with the Pediatric residents and a sign-up schedule for dates that are not time-locked with the interview day.
