What exactly is the BURROW MD/PhD Conference, and what does it stand for?
The University of Rochester MD/PhD Program is proud to be this year's host of the BURROW MD/PhD Conference (formerly Tri-Institutional Conference). Pairing with SUNY Upstate Medical University and University at Buffalo MD-PhD Programs, it will be our first in-person meeting of the three institutions since 2019. The conference is an annual gathering of MD/PhD students from the University of Rochester, SUNY Upstate Medical University and the University at Buffalo to present research and posters, engage in workshops, hear from renowned physician-scientists and faculty, and gather to discuss common interests in the field of physician-scientists. Having held numerous titles over the year, the meeting has been renamed Buffalo, Upstate, Rochester: Research Out West(ern NY), or BURROW.
Who can attend the meeting?
MD/PhD students and faculty from the University of Rochester, SUNY Upstate Medical University, and the University at Buffalo are typically in attendance. Other students in medical and/or graduate training are also invited to attend, including current medical students in research, current MD/PhD students from other APSA Northeast Institutions, and any other interested individuals.
