Furth Funding Awarded to Martina Anto-Ocrah

Wednesday, April 24, 2019

The University's Furth Fund, established through the generosity of Valerie and Frank Furth, provides early career scientists with $12,500 in research funds which can be used to purchase equipment, engage graduate students or postdocs or support other research-related needs.

This year, two of the three recipients are URMC faculty—Martina Anto-Ocrah, assistant professor of Emergency Medicine.

Anto-Ocrah has been a member of URMC faculty since July 2018 as assistant professor of Emergency Medicine and of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

"Martina's unique interests in Global Emergency Medicine particularly in under-resourced settings, coupled with her passion and dedication to research, make her an exceptional addition to our faculty," said Michael F. Kamali, M.D., chair of Emergency Medicine.
