Training & Education
The Center has a strong training and mentoring program. Graduate education in the Center awards degrees to PhD or MD/PhD students from a variety of departments. Additionally, medical residents can apply for resident research through the Department of Surgery. The Center also supports undergraduate research for college credit.
Some students and postdocs in the Center are supported by NIH Training Grants in Immunology and Oral Biology. The Center also has a long history of training students associated with the Post-baccalaurate Research Education Program (PREP Program). Prospective students should visit Graduate Education.
