Graduate Student Opportunities in MRI Development and Application to HIV Research
We are seeking motivated graduate students with a background in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Physics to join our cutting-edge research on MRI development and post-processing. This project is funded by a 5-year NIH grant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CEST MRI techniques for brain imaging using compressed sensing and deep learning.
- Apply CEST MRI and other MRI methods to study brain changes associated with HIV and liver disease.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, clinicians, and biostatisticians.
- Participate in data analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of research findings.
- Contribute to the preparation of research publications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong background in MRI physics, signal processing, or imaging techniques.
- Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior research experience in MRI or related areas is highly desirable.
