BME Chair, Richard Waugh has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hajim School of Engineering. One of the great success stories of the University’s school of engineering is the growth of the Department of Biomedical Engineering under Waugh’s leadership. He has been its chairman since the department was established in 2000 and graduated 10 students. It is now the Hajim School’s largest department, with a total enrollment expected to top 450 undergraduate and graduate students this fall.
Waugh “has served our university incredibly well in many capacities for 34 years,” said Dean Robert Clark in presenting Waugh with the school’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
