Healing Through the Arts & Humanities: Community Earth Altars
Acknowledging that 2020 was a year unlike any other in recent history, The Earth Altar Project was created by the Friends of Ganondagan to build bridges between diverse communities and individuals in the Greater Rochester area to honor life, death, sorrow, healing, and celebration. Jeanette Jemison (Mohawk, Snipe Clan), program director of the Friends of Ganondagan, will introduce The Earth Altar Project and its objective to provide safe spaces for individuals and communities to share experiences of the past year. Angel Jimerson (Seneca, Heron Clan), will present the altar that she created on the Ganondagon State Historic Site.
