URMC / Medicine / Infectious Diseases / Patient Care / STI Clinic STI Clinic The division operates the Monroe County Department of Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinic under a service agreement. This agreement has been in place since approximately 1980. The clinic is staffed by ID nurses and nurse practitioners under the direction of Drs. Daniela DiMarco and Margie Urban. There are approximately 9000 patient visits per year. Drs. Urban and DiMarco also lead the New York State Department of Health Sexual Health Center of Excellence and the Sexual Health Clinic is a designated training site for this Center of Excellence. Direction of the clinic by our division provides a unique training resource as well as an opportunity for translational research and education. The Sexual Health Clinic staff are committed to providing high quality STI/HIV care in a non-judgmental and caring manner. All services are free and confidential. Minors (under 18 years of age) do not need parental consent to be seen. No appointment is needed. The following services are offered: Testing and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT) Testing for HIV Referrals for HIV treatment Vaccines: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, HPV, Meningococcal, COVID 19 Bivalent, Mpox and Flu HIV Pre-exposure Prophylaxis care (PrEP) HIV Post-exposure Prophylaxis referral (PEP) Walk-in COVID and flu vaccinations available on Thursdays from 12:30 -3 p.m. (Sexual Health services are not available during this time).
