Small Animal Multispectral Imaging Facility
By providing state-of-the-art longitudinal multispectral (bioluminescence and fluorescence) imaging capabilities, the shared Small Animal Multispectral Imaging Facility aims to compliment and boost the extensive imaging resources available to University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) researchers engaged in wide ranging areas of biomedical research with emphasis on clinical translation in alignment with the mission of the University of Rochester Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (UR CTSI).
Uses
The facility can be used in wide ranging areas of biomedical research, including:
- Disease Progression
- Therapeutic development, drug efficacy, metabolism and toxicity
- Infection and clearance of pathogens
- Tumor development and growth
- Cellular Studies
- Immune responses to transplantation and inflammation
- Homing and migration of cell populations
- Stem cell engraftment
- Molecular Analysis
- Real-time monitoring of gene expression/regulation patterns
- Signaling pathways underlying disease
- Nanoparticle trafficking
