Local Partner Advisory Board
The LPAB is a community partner of RPRC:NCDHR consisting of representatives from the Deaf Community, people with hearing loss, public agencies, providers, educational institutions, and other organizations. Deaf-Blind Community
Pilot video call center to enhance access to HIV counseling with Deaf sign language users in New York state. Raising awareness with NYS Deaf communities regarding accessible information, testing, and care.
Deaf Weight Wise 2.0 is our new core research project for 2014-2019. This is a Deaf Weight Wise intervention and Clinical Trial that will be adapted to suit those from ages 21-70. This will include both group interventions and one on one intervention through the VideoPhone. Activities for this project's community committee will include, assisting with the new curriculum, providing feedback on our research methods,and actively recruit community members to enroll in the study.

Foodlink is the Feeding America regional food bank, which rescues and redistributes more than 16 million pounds of food annually to a network of 500 member agencies in a 10-county service area: Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates Counties.

The Healthy Living with Hearing Loss (HL2) is a community committee that partners with RPRC:NCDHR. The purpose of this group is to identify strengths/resources of people with hearing loss, as well as prioritize topics for health research.
The Rochester Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America was established in 1983. The formation of the Chapter allowed people living in western New York to meet and share common concerns surrounding the challenges of living with a hearing loss.

Incorporated in 1945, Rochester Recreation Club for the Deaf was first established as a social outlet for Deaf people in Rochester, NY. It now serves as a hub of the Rochester Deaf community, providing a meeting place for various Deaf organizations.
