X-Ray
X-rays are a type of radiation called electromagnetic waves. An X-ray is a quick painless test that creates pictures of the inside of your body.
No special advance preparations are required for these simple procedures. For certain procedures, you may be asked to change into a gown.
For some types of X-ray tests, a contrast medium, such as iodine or barium, is used to provide greater detail on the images.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Noyes Health, Department of Diagnostic imaging directly with any questions or concerns you may have.
If you are pregnant or suspect you may be pregnant, please notify your physician and the Technologist prior to your exam.
