Inpatient Nutrition Services

We have 19 Registered Dietitians who provide high quality evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients admitted to Strong Memorial Hospital, Wilmot Cancer Center and Golisano Children's Hospital. Many maintain specialty certifications in areas such as Nutrition Support, Diabetes Education, and Pediatric Nutrition.

If necessary, your physician will order a consult to have a Registered Dietitian meet with you. If you have specific concerns about your diet, please request to speak to a registered dietitian.

What is a Registered Dietitian?

A RD is a food and nutrition expert who can translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. We are here to help individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes to support overall health. Dietitians in the hospital make sure that patients are receiving balanced nutrition whether they need a therapeutic diet or can no longer safely eat by mouth.
