Dr. Langfitt is a board-certified neuropsychologist who primarily evaluates adults with epilepsy, but also sees patients with other neurologic disorders (e.g., traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, developmental disabilities) and psychiatric conditions that affect cognitive function (e.g., major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD and somatoform disorders).

Dr. Langfitt's research focusses on the cognitive, psychiatric, quality-of-life and economic effects of epilepsy and its treatments. His expertise lies in design and implementation of clinical trials and other research designs, with a specific focus on outcomes assessment. He leads and consults on a number of projects involving assessment and treatment of cognitive and neurobehavioral consequences of cerebral malaria and other pediatric infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa.
