Soumyaroop Bhattacharya is an Assistant in Neonatology Division of Pediatrics Department. His research interests include gene expression analysis of lung development and diseases, involving biomarker discovery and algorithm development for data analysis, and he is currently leading multiple projects on Genome-wide expression profiling studies on lung diseases and development. He is also collaborating with investigators in numerous other bioinformatics studies. Dr. Bhattacharya has over two decades of experience in applying state-of-the-art analytical approaches on high-throughput functional genomics data generated from multiple species using multiple omics platforms. He has demonstrated expertise in developing algorithms for high-throughput genomic data analysis, their application in studying gene expression changes during human lung development, and its aberrations, as well as in adult lung diseases.
