Kelly joined the University Counseling Center at the University of Rochester in 2010 as a Staff Psychologist, and became the Postdoctoral Fellowship Coordinator/Assistant Training Director in 2012. Kelly works with undergraduate, graduate students, medical and other professional students on issues including recovery from family or relationship abuse, grief and loss, gender and sexual identity, cultural and disability identities. She is active in supervision, outreach and consultation in addition to providing psychotherapy.
From 1993-2010 Kelly worked as a Senior Staff Psychologist at the University Counseling Service at the University of Iowa with specific expertise in gender identity, multicultural issues in training and clinical assessment. She previously worked at the Colorado State University Counseling Center, interned at the University of Texas Counseling Center and received her PhD and MA from the Clinical Psychology program at Washington State University, completing research in aspects of Gender and Racial identity.
