Bearing witness to the marginalization of individuals in my clinical as well as my international work sparked my passion for focusing on the unique and diverse experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ+) individuals, especially those who are negotiating intersecting identities. Through my scholarship and collaborative relationships with community partners, I became increasingly aware of the dearth of knowledge and services dedicated to transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals. I have dedicated my career to developing the clinical skills and a focused scholarship to enhance well-being among members of TGD communities, as well as fight as against health disparities.
