Dr. Williams’ research focuses on cancer-related neuropsychological and psychosocial sequelae, their underlying mechanisms, and effective interventions in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. She is particularly interested in accelerated physiologic and biologic aging as an underlying molecular mechanism by which cancer-related sequelae arise and in exploiting those pathways to identify potential interventions among high-risk subgroups.
