Ms. Wood is currently a faculty member in Emergency Medicine Research where she is the Administrative Director of the Emergency Department Research Associate (EDRA) Program. She developed and tea...
Ms. Wood is currently a faculty member in Emergency Medicine Research where she is the Administrative Director of the Emergency Department Research Associate (EDRA) Program. She developed and teaches the ED Enroller Research Internship class for undergraduates as an introduction to ED research, and provides direction and supervision for the program. Her research interests are focused on health disparities and healthcare for underserved populations and include telemedicine, community paramedicine, and culturally sensitive delivery of healthcare within indigenous populations. Prior to becoming a faculty member, Ms. Wood was a study coordinator, monitor, and research project manager at the University of Rochester for 30 years. She enjoys volunteering with local animal rescue groups and refugee relocation services, playing with her many foster dogs, and learning to speak Onöndowa’ga:’ Gawë:nö (the Seneca language).
