Dr. Ling directs the cardiac catheterization laboratory. He performs diagnostic catheterizations and complex percutaneous coronary intervention. Dr. Ling specializes in evaluation and treatment of structural heart disease. He is the medical director of the URMC multidisciplinary Structural Heart ...

Dr. Ling specializes in evaluation and treatment of structural heart disease. He is the medical director of the URMC multidisciplinary Structural Heart Disease program. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Ling is Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he is also Medical Director of the Structural Heart Disease Program. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. In addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Dr. Ling maintains an active clinical practice and research program in interventional coronary artery disease and structural heart disease.

Dr. Ling is a Member of the American Heart Association (AHA), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention (SCAI). He chairs the American Heart Association Health Care Certification Science Committee. He also holds advisory and consultant positions for the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) serving as chair of the Percutaneous Coronary Intervention Reporting System sub-committee. He currently serves and has served as either member or chairman of numerous Data and Safety Monitoring Boards (DSMB) and Clinical Events Committees (CEC) of clinical research trials in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Ling received a Biology degree from Columbia College of Columbia University in 1982 and his medical degree from New York University in 1986. He completed internal medicine training at Harvard University-Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA in 1989. He received his general cardiology training and subspecialty training in interventional cardiology at Yale University-Yale New Haven Hospital in 1993.
