Privacy Incidents

The University of Rochester Medical Center and affiliates are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our patients’ protected health information. In cases where there has been a breach of patient information, affected patients are contacted through individual notification letters. In some cases where contact information is not current, letters may be returned to URMC as undeliverable. If we are unable to otherwise contact the patient, a substitute notification is posted on this page.
