MR: A New Metabolomics Resource at URMC
The Metabolomics Resource (MR) is a shared resource laboratory supporting metabolism-related research at the University of Rochester Medical Center. The MR utilizes liquid chromatography-coupled mass spectrometry (LC/MS) based methods to enable small molecule identification and quantitation in biological samples, as well as provides technical consultation for experimental design, custom method development, and analysis of acquired data. Our LC/MS-based methods can be harnessed to probe the metabolic state of complex biological samples through untargeted and targeted metabolite profiling, lipidomics analysis, and stable isotope tracing.
The mission of the Metabolomics Resource is to support innovative metabolsm-related research by providing the technological infrastructure and expertise required to comprehensively assess the complex metabolic landscape of biological samples.
