Rochester Informatics
Overview
The University of Rochester is one of the country's top-tier research universities, with the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) serving as one of the nation's top academic medical centers. URMC forms the centerpiece of the university's biomedical research, teaching, patient care, an community outreach missions. Informatics approaches are increasingly employed across all of these activities in synergistic ways.
Faculty, staff and informatics programs support these diverse missions and several centers of excellence have been established at the University in the domains of Research, Education, and Research Support Services.

The Board will provide a forum for leaders of the major URMC informatics initiatives to meet on a monthly basis in order to discuss plans and concerns, to conduct strategic planning, and to develop an integrated approach to meet institutional needs and priorities.
