Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital, New Rochelle

Project SEARCH^® at Montefiore New Rochelle was launched in September 2011. The program prepares students for competitive employment through a combination of classroom instruction by a certified special education teacher from New Rochelle High School and hands-on training within Montefiore New Rochelle with the support of a job coach from CAREERS for People with Disabilities.

Typical Daily Schedule

Interns arrive at 8:15 a.m. for classroom instruction before starting their internships at 9:30 a.m. At 2:00 p.m., the interns have a classroom debrief, review, and journaling session before leaving for the day at 2:30 p.m.
