Current Initiatives
- Advance to Apprenticeship (A2A) – An initiative to improve access to apprenticeship programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) within the manufacturing industry.
- Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Project – To positively impact the lives of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) and their families by assisting Local Health Departments (LHDs) in providing needed and appropriate services.
- Community Consultation Program (CCP) – Providing systemic, behavioral, and educational supports to districts, schools, individuals, and agencies
- Fillable Short Term Care Guide – The “Short Term Care Guide” is designed to help individuals, families, and other caregivers to prepare for temporary, permanent, or unanticipated changes in care for people with disabilities.
- Health Disparities – Dedicated to improving health for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through education to current and future healthcare providers, technical assistance, research, and advocacy
- Improving Family Centeredness Together (IFaCT) – Led by the New York State Department of Health. The project focuses on improving the Early Intervention Program (EIP) experience for families and children.
- Inclusive Recreation and Leisure Video Campaign for ;business – The video campaign is designed to facilitate a business to business conversation about the benefits of inclusive hiring.
- Inclusive Recreation and Leisure Video Campaign for recreation and leisure – The video campaign is designed to facilitate a conversation about the benefits of inclusive recreation and leisure opportunities.
- Mental Health and ASD Tele-Monitoring – Autism ECHO for mental health uses video conferencing to create a knowledge network among mental health providers around Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Mindfulness Programs – Teaches paying attention to experiences in a deliberate way, without judgment. Skills are gained via didactics, in-person practice, and assigned practice.
- National Disability Employment Awareness Month Video Campaign – The video campaign is designed to facilitate a business to business conversation about the benefits of inclusive hiring.
- Project SEARCH® – High school to employment transition programs for 18-21 year olds with moderate disabilities
- Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RRCASD) – Providing training, information and referral, and resources to a 12 county area
