Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx

The program is located in The Bronx at the Moses Campus of Montefiore Medical Center. Project SEARCH^® graduates have been employed by the New York Fire Department, Botanical Gardens, Restaurant Depot, Bright Star Messenger, the Office of Mental Health, and at Montefiore in the Endoscopy Department and in food service.

Typical Daily Schedule

The interns have a 50-minute class session before reporting to their individual departments. They return to the classroom for an afternoon class before dismissal. Interns follow their supervisor's schedule; they will take lunch and a break when their supervisors do.

During class sessions, the focus is on vocational skills like budgeting, resume writing, role playing, interviewing, and other career-focused activities.
