Research Year Opportunities

For medical students, typically between their 3rd and 4th year. Open to visiting students as well as local URMC. Opportunities are based on Faculty availability. For more information, email Stephany Greenough.

Summer Research Opportunities

For medical students, typically between their first and second year. Reach out to us to collaborate on exciting projects that fit your interests!

Sub-Internship Information

URMC will offer onsite visiting student rotations for the 2025-2026 academic year starting June 9, 2025. Visiting students must be in their final year as medical students and in good academic standing. Rotations are subject to availability and department approval.

Important Dates:

•    Applicants can begin browsing elective opportunities on March 21, 2025.

•    Applicants can begin submitting elective requests on April 4, 2025.

•    Applicants will begin to be notified of decisions on May 9, 2025.

All visiting rotations are coordinated through the AAMC’s Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO).

Please note that formal notifications of acceptance will be sent by the registrar’s office starting May 9, 2025.
