Research
Research in the Division of Geriatrics & Aging encompasses health services, clinical and interdisciplinary training initiatives. The Division has successfully competed for more than seven million dollars over the past few years representing projects supported by the NIH, VA, HRSA and the John A Hartford Foundation and other sources. Interdepartmental collaboration underpins much of the Division's success, most notably with nursing, psychiatry, psychology, developmental disabilities, neurology and chiropractic. Partnerships with some of the region's premier academic centers, such as the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, have resulted in the creation of educational programs that help to define new policy and research directions.
