I chose the field of transplant surgery as it offers an elegant solution to end-stage organ failure. I enjoy the close collaboration of related medical and surgical disciplines to enable a rapid turnaround in these patients’ lives. In addition, surmounting the technical challenges and complexities afforded by transplantation and hepatobiliary oncological surgery is personally very rewarding.

My patients can count on me to be their staunch advocate and to have their best interests at the forefront during their treatment journey. I have a calm disposition and always endeavor to help patients feel relaxed and at ease during what is invariably a stressful period for them. Toward this, I encourage open and frank communication at all times.
