National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designation
Wilmot Cancer Institute Becomes the 73rd Center to be Designated by the National Cancer Institute
National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation recognizes the country’s most elite cancer centers – only about 4% of U.S. cancer centers are in this group. Becoming NCI designated involves a rigorous process to evaluate a center’s research, clinical trials, education, and community outreach efforts.

Message from Our Director
Now NCI designated, Wilmot Cancer Institute is proud to be among the nation's top cancer centers. WCI Director Jonathan Friedberg, MD, MMSc, shares why this designation is important for Wilmot and the region.
