The Wilmot Community Cancer Action Council (CCAC)

Working with communities today, to lessen the impact of cancer tomorrow

The CCAC is empowered to inform research priorities and develop opportunities to address cancer disparities. Members come from a wide variety of community-centered groups, including public health departments, healthcare systems, school districts, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and community- and faith-based organizations.

Four priority working groups have been identified by the CCAC: community-driven research, rural outreach, primary prevention, and patient and survivor resources. CCAC meets monthly (3rd Wednesday each month from 4:00-5:30pm) via zoom in open townhall style meetings. These meetings bring together community members and Wilmot researchers to share information on programs and initiatives, generate discussions, and promote collaboration.

If you’re interested in having your voice heard, consider joining us in our efforts. Harnessing community strength is critical to success.
