Signing a Discharge Order in eRecord

The admission order set including vit K, hep B, and erythromycin are going to be assigned to a provider (OB or NICU) who is present at the delivery. The only standard order the pediatric attending needs to sign is the discharge.

• Open "Order Entry" activity by clicking on the button (far left mid-screen)
• Open "New Order" by clicking the tab at the top of the screen
• Type "free text" and hit enter, to bring up a free text nursing order
• Fill in the comments box by typing "Discharge home with mother" (adding follow up timing if appropriate)
• Complete the order by clicking the "Accept" button below the comment box
• Sign the order by clicking the "Sign Order" button on the top right
• Fill in your password
