All counseling staff hold a master’s degree in the mental health field and have experience with a variety of sub-specialties, which include:

Clinicians
Ann Cornell, PsyD, CEAP- Director
Dr. Ann Cornell completed her undergraduate training in psychology at the University of Rochester and then completed graduate school in clinical psychology at Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. Dr. Cornell completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care psychology through the University of Rochester Medical Center as chief fellow with extensive training in marriage and family therapy. Then, she completed an additional postdoctoral fellowship in interdisciplinary geriatrics. Her areas of interest include behavioral health, cognitive behavioral therapy, and developing approaches to meet the needs of physicians and residents within the University of Rochester. Ann has a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work with the Employee Assistant Program has been devoted to developing innovative ways to meet the needs of this population.
Janine Rowe, MSEd, LMHC, CASAC, SAP, CEAP – EAP Service Manager
Janine earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Hamilton College and a master’s in counselor education from the State University of New York at Brockport. She is a licensed mental health counselor, a credentialed alcohol and substance use counselor, and a substance abuse professional. Her areas of expertise include substance use counseling and the intersection of career and mental health concerns. Janine is trained in cognitive behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, and internal family systems and utilizes an eclectic counseling approach to support her clients.
Kristin Boggs, Ed.M., CASAC, SAP
Kristin earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the State University of New York Geneseo and a master’s in school counseling at the University of Buffalo. She is a credentialed alcohol and substance use counselor and a substance abuse professional for the Department of Transportation. She integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy with other modalities to help individuals leverage their strengths to overcome challenges and build solutions. Her focus on self-empowerment has helped individuals recover from mood disorders, substance use, and relationship conflicts.
Teresa Braun, MSPH, CASAC
Teresa completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and criminal justice at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Then, she received a master’s degree in public health from Roberts Wesleyan College. Teresa is a Master Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and has invaluable experience working with clients challenged with substance use disorders and mental health concerns. She is skilled in providing psychotherapy, care coordination, crisis intervention, and triaging referrals. Teresa is always eager to collaborate with her clients to determine the best steps forward and develop a plan with specialized, individual support.
Hillary Harter, B.S.N., R.N., P.M.H.N.-B.C.
Hillary is a registered nurse in New York with a board-certified specialty in psychiatric/mental health nursing. She graduated from Monroe Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing then graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor's in nursing. She has extensive expertise in psychiatric/mental health nursing. Hillary has held positions as assistant nurse manager and nurse manager during her time working in ambulatory psych. As UR Medicine’s Employer-Based Services RN Care Manager, she coordinates care, connects clients to services, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care.
Alexandra Hibbard, LMSW
Alexandra earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Mercyhurst University followed by a master’s in social work with a specialty in mental health from Roberts Wesleyan College. Throughout her career, she’s had the honor of counseling: veterans diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder out of Rochester’s Veterans Association Outpatient Clinic, domestic violence survivors, and individuals on their recovery journey from eating disorders. These experiences have increased her passion to provide an empathetic and client-centered approach to all she meets and supports.
Jordan Nittoli, LMSW
Jordan earned his master's of social work from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a licensed social worker. With prior experience as an EAP counselor, Jordan takes a nurturing and collaborative approach to clients. He takes great pleasure in co-constructing solutions to a diverse array of needs including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, interpersonal conflict, and workplace stress. Jordan specializes in motivational interviewing and solution-focused brief therapy.
Evan Rubenstein, MS, LCSW
Evan holds a master’s degree in social work from Nazareth University and the State University of New York at Brockport. He has worked extensively in acute, medical, community, and outpatient settings. Evan is familiar with providing counseling services in outpatient mental health clinics, private practice, and facilitating anxiety support groups. Evan’s background in the field makes him experienced in crisis intervention and stabilization. Using an empathetic approach, Evan draws on the principles of acceptance-commitment therapy and motivational interviewing . Evan specializes in supporting clients challenged with anxiety, ADHD, relationship dynamics, and life transitions.
Deborah Scott, MS, CEAP
Deborah earned a master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She has vast experience counseling individuals in high school, college, and through job placement. Her expertise lies in solution-focused counseling, career/educational coaching, disability, and community resources.
Jill Snitzel, MS, CASAC
Jill completed her graduate studies in mental health counseling at the State University of New York at Brockport and is a credentialed alcohol and substance use counselor. She is well-versed in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy. Jill embraces an individual’s unique strengths and utilizes an empathetic person-centered approach to empower individuals to navigate life’s challenges.
Jennifer Travet, BS
Jennifer is the care coordinator for the UR Medicine Employee Assistance Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in forensic science at the State University of New York at Brockport. Her background as a psychiatric specialist and residential counselor makes her skilled in triaging the needs of all who call. Jennifer is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health.
Sigrid Adler, LCSW-R
Sigrid is a licensed clinical social worker in New York and a member of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. She is skilled in providing psychotherapy and crisis intervention to individuals, couples, and families dealing with concerns in mood disorders, anxiety, marital discord, parent-child conflict, workplace stress, and trauma. Sigrid is an expert with a tailored approach to support emergency services personnel including law enforcement and first responders.
Administrative Staff
Massiel Negron Irizarry, BS
Massiel is the UR Medicine EAP Physician Support Representative. She attained her bachelor’s degree in computer science at Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Her experience in data management and administration helps her manage EAP background logistics.
Brianna McGill, BS
Brianna is UR Medicine’s EAP Account Manager. She earned her bachelor’s in health science from the State University of New York at Brockport. Brianna is dedicated to crafting an effortless and personalized customer journey by overseeing workflows, usage, and data reporting. She partners with clients to promote a culture of well-being and provides consistent customer satisfaction for client’s employees. Her experience includes health administration, project management, and collaboration with community organizations and multidisciplinary teams. Brianna takes pride in collaborating with clients to promote inclusive care for a happier, healthier community.
