Medical Students Financial Aid Timeline

2025-2026 Academic Year

• October-November 30, 2024
  • The federal processor will open the 2025-2026 FAFSA for limited number of applications to test the online FAFSA appliciation, processing, and delivery of files to schools. You may be able to submit your 2025-2026 FAFSA during this time.
• December 1, 2024
  • The federal processor will open their appliciaton fully to accept all 2025-2026 FAFSA forms for processing.
• March 1, 2025
  • Deadline for incoming student financial aid applications
• March/April 2025
  • Incoming student financial aid packages sent to students
• April 1, 2025
  • Deadline for continuing student financial aid applications
• Rolling basis starting Mid-May 2025
  • Continuing student financial aid packages sent to students
• June 2025
  • Sign and return 2025-2026 Financial Aid Offer Letters
  • Complete Master Promissory Notes
  • Complete Student Loan Entrance Counseling
• Early July, 2025
  • Financial Aid disbursed to student accounts for Phase 3 and Phase 4 MD students
  • Bursar’s Office processes fall semester living expense refunds within 14 days of disbursement
• Mid-August, 2025
  • Financial Aid disbursed to student accounts for Phase 1 and Phase 2 MD students
  • Bursar’s Office processes fall semester living expense refunds within 14 days of disbursement
• October 1, 2025
  • Earliest date that the federal processor will accept 2026-2027 FAFSA forms for processing
• January 2026
  • Financial Aid disbursed to student accounts for all MD students/all Phases in early January
  • Bursar's office processes spring semester living expense refunds within 14 days of disbursement
