Why Should You Choose Our Fellowship Program?
Training in a culture of excellence
The University of Rochester's motto is "Meliora," which means "Ever Better." Our Clinical Fellowship program embodies this ethic in fostering the academic and clinical development of trainees. Our faculty are excited to teach and to work together with our fellows to provide excellent patient care and engage in clinical and basic science research projects. Our aim is to create an environment of continual learning regardless of level of training. We are committed to continuous improvement, and seek feedback from our trainees in order to optimize their fellowship experience.

world-class musical and theater experiences, and a diverse culinary scene. This underrated city is family friendly and affordable, allowing our trainees to enjoy their free time with family and friends.
Balanced curriculum with diverse patient population
Our fellows see a wide range of patients on our consultative services and in their continuity clinics, gaining experience in the full spectrum of conditions they will encounter as nephrologists. Clinical experiences are paired with close supervision, bedside teaching, and a comprehensive conference series to foster the professional development of our fellows. We value educational innovation and have incorporated a diverse group of learning experiences in order to accommodate different learning styles.
Our fellows are well-prepared for the American Board of Internal Medicine certification exam. Our program boasts a high pass rate and successful career placements in our graduates.
