I grew up in a small town in Ohio and then spent much of my early adulthood in Alaska Where did you attend medical school? I attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle Where did you attend residency? University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is where I did my residency As someone who grew up outside of Rochester, what brought you back to Rochester after completing your training and/or attending position outside of the ED? After spending a couple of years as a young attendee at URMC and Highland, I moved back to Seattle, where I had attended medical school. The connections to colleagues and friends in Rochester were well maintained over the next 8 years before we moved back. As our family was growing and we began to prioritize working for an organization with long term sustainability and a community that allows for raising a family with ease, we decided that Rochester was the ideal place to lay down roots.
